There are no Parish Council vacancies at the moment, but the parish Council is always keen to increase the number of people available to help with the village activities. Those include Local Speed watch, Website updates, Parish News gathering and support for the Village emergency plan. 16/11/2025

NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972
A vacancy exists for one Parish Councillor for the Parish of Hamstead Marshall.
The Chairperson notified the Electoral Officer, West Berkshire Council on September 2, 2024 of the vacancy. There is a fourteen-day waiting period and the Electoral Officer will notify the parish council at the end of the fourteen-day waiting period, should there be no challenge from ten parishioners to seeking a parish-wide election, a co-option of a parish councillor will be permitted.
